Your mobile app and website login experience will be changing when you service your Barclays accounts. The website you use to access your online bank accounts at SecureBanking.BarclayUS.com will be changing in October and you will be directed to BarclaysUS.com to log in to your accounts.
The Barclays US Savings App will no longer be used to service your account. You will need to download the Barclays US App.
To use the new Barclays US App, users need to have a minimum of iOS 15 or above for Apple devices and Android 12 or above for Android devices.
Mobile App: After you receive confirmation of the web and mobile app changes, just search "Barclays US" at either the Apple App store or Google Play store and click on the app to download. Or text "Mobile" to 60956.
Desktop or mobile web browser: You can also log in using your desktop or mobile web browser by going to https://www.barclaysus.com and clicking "Set up online access."
If you have a Barclays credit card username, you can continue using your existing credentials to log in to your account(s). If you only have a Barclays savings or CD account, you will need to create new log in credentials, unless your existing username is not already in use.
Yes, in addition to all of the features you have today in the Barclays US Savings App, the new mobile app will have additional functionality, including: schedule future and/or recurring transfers, access statements, and update beneficiaries.
If your device is ever lost or stolen, you can call Customer Care at 877-710-8756 and we can limit the access to your bank account(s) for that device.
ADA/Accessibility Services: Please contact us using relay services (dial 711).
When you replace your lost or stolen device, you will need to download the Barclays US Mobile App again to log in and access your account(s).

Your external account is a bank account you have with another U.S. financial institution. It’s linked to your Barclays account so that you can transfer money between the two. Any external account that is linked to your Barclays account must be in an accountholder’s name. This includes payment processing companies such as: PayPal, Venmo and Payday loan deposits.
For security reasons, we use test deposits as part of the external account verification process. Within 2-3 business days after linking your external account, you will receive two small deposits in your external bank account, each under $1.00, that will be immediately withdrawn from your account. We do not use your money to make these test deposits.
We’ll then ask you to log in to your Barclays account and report the amounts of those test deposits. After you have confirmed the test deposit amounts, you’ll be able to begin transferring money between your Barclays account and your external account. We use this method to verify each new external account. If you do not verify your external account within 99 days from when you opened your account, transfers will be restricted until you can verify your external bank account.
You can reset your Barclays Online Banking password on our website. Simply select the Forgot UserID and/or Password link during Log In from the Barclays Online Banking homepage. You will be asked a few short questions to verify your identity. Then choose to have a one-time pass code sent to you by email, phone, or text. The one-time pass code will be active for 10 minutes.
Our routing/ABA number is 031101321.
Please note: Barclays does not accept wire transfers at this time.
To set up direct deposit, simply contact the external account from which you’d like to transfer funds into your Barclays account. You’ll need to follow their procedures for setting up direct deposit but all of them will need the following information:
· Your Barclays Online Banking account number
· Our routing/ABA number: 031101321
There are two ways to update your personal information:
- Log in to BarclaysUS.com/deposits and select My Profile to change your personal information, or
- Give our Customer Care team a call at 888-710-8756. We’re here to help you 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET. ADA/Accessibility Services: Please contact us using relay services (dial 711)
You can send an email with copies of your documentation or follow up on your request via DepositResearch@barclays.com or by mail to:

You can either withdraw your funds or automatically renew your CD at the interest rate and annual percentage yield (APY) in effect on the date of maturity. You can set your maturity options prior to the date of maturity by logging into your account, selecting Account Details, then Select Maturity Options tab. You can also renew it with a different term.
Beginning on the date of maturity, to withdraw funds within the 14-day grace period, you’ll need to contact us in writing or by phone before the grace period ends. For more detailed instructions, call the Barclays Customer Care team at 888-710-8756 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET. Yes. A penalty will be imposed for any withdrawal of principal from your CD Account before maturity. Principal is defined as the original dollar amount of the CD.
If the amount required to be forfeited is greater than the interest earned or paid on your CD Account, we will deduct the difference from principal.
For a CD Account with a term of less than or equal to 24 months, a penalty equaling 90 days simple interest on the dollar amount withdrawn subject to penalty will be imposed, and for a CD Account with a term of more than 24 months, a penalty equaling 180 days simple interest on the dollar amount withdrawn subject to penalty will be imposed.
In certain circumstances, such as the death or incompetence of a CD Account holder, the law permits, and in some cases requires, the waiver of the early withdrawal penalty.
A CD ladder is a savings strategy where you invest in several certificates of deposit with staggered maturities. With this strategy, you'll redeem funds more often than if you put all of your savings in a long-term CD, while still reaping some long-term, predictable benefits.
For general information: http://www.bankrate.com/banking/cds/cd-ladder-guide
Determine how often you want access to your funds. The more frequently you want access, the shorter term your CDs should be.
You’ll be sent a notice of your CD maturity options. You can either reinvest those funds in a new CD at the current interest rate, or have full access to the funds.
If you choose to break your CD before it matures, you will incur a penalty. Otherwise, when it matures, you can choose to reinvest the funds or to cash in the CD.
